Taylor's journey to fame began on YouTube. Taylor began by making ASMR videos on her phone. PewDiePie included her in a gaming online video not long after she had topped 50,000 subscribers within 1 1/2 months of uploading the first video. Taylor stopped working on her Youtube channel two months later. Nearly 100,000 subscribers. The main reason was technical difficulties and she was overwhelmed. After taking a long month off, Taylor started making new videos. Taylor created the cult ASMR 10 triggers that aid in sleeping (35 millions views by august 2022). The video was uploaded ASMR 20 triggers that assist you in your sleep on July of 2017. (38 million views as of August 2022). In August 2017, she was interviewed by Shane Dawson for his video, and soon afterward, reached 1 million YouTube subscribers. In February 2019, Wired UK estimated that she was earning $1,000 per day through advertising through her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer, a Canadian farmer, and Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman was her mother. The two are born to German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent. She studied at William E. Hay Composite High School in Stettler, Alberta. She lived and worked on the family's farm alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. When she was 17, the agent of her modeling agency spotted her while in line waiting at the theater.
